Cityline is a multi-block, mixed-use development bringing much-needed energy and investment to the city and its center. The city of Sunnyvale sits between the campuses of the world’s largest technology companies, but it has not had a downtown for over a decade.  The urban design of the new downtown plans a pedestrian-priority loop that connects the train station and historic Murphy Avenue to new high-rise office and residential towers, theaters, retail, and a new public park. The loop incorporates streetscapes, plazas, shared streets, and a signature public park, which is designed around a historic redwood grove.
