The garden at 19th Street is a device designed to retain a steep slope, mask the noise of a freeway, and create views. A water fountain, lights, seating, stairs, and planting are embedded into the retaining wall structure to conserve space. The resulting upper level creates views to Twin Peaks, sunsets, and afternoon fog rolling in.
