Bionic conducted the sea level rise analysis for Belmont Island Parkway and developed a public realm design for the shoreline to be resilient to 2100 and protect the proposed building and infrastructure improvements. The shoreline is designed using nature-based living shorelines that can adapt over time, while preserving the pedestrian experience and encounters with the adjacent marsh. Bionic worked closely with the multi-disciplinary team and the regulatory agencies to permit the project for implementation and long-term sea level rise monitoring and adaptation.
