Bionic establishes goals, ambitions, and a programmatic vision for a park redesign for the existing open space located at the intersection of W. San Carlos Street, Woz Way, and the Guadalupe River in San Jose, CA. Discovery Green Vision Plan develops an open space and public realm vision for the site that supports the proposed South Almaden Offices development project and associated ecological mitigation measures, the surrounding rapidly developing district, and downtown San Jose. The plan revitalizes the existing park, provides new public benefits and amenities, enhances the existing habitats and relationship with the Guadalupe River, connects to adjacent destinations and transit, enhances the relationship between the open space and the Children’s Discovery Museum of San Jose, and creates a vibrant, sustainable, and well-connected district through scale studies, functional diagrams, and programmatic configurations.
