Perched at the edge of a bluff in Malibu, the Las Tunas access point offers a rare opportunity to connect the public to the Pacific Ocean. Elevated decks and integral lounge seating provide a gathering space where visitors can enjoy vistas of the coastline from Los Angeles to the Catalina Islands. A series of stairs and decks built for the extreme marine environment traverse an existing sea wall, allowing visitors to access adjacent beaches and the Pacific Ocean.  3D-printed cliff swallow nests attached to the face of the sea wall encourage birds to recolonize the site.
