The Mussel Shoals access point on the Ventura County coast provides public access to the Pacific Ocean for surfers, residents, and tourists. Boardwalks radiate from the entry and hover over the fragile dune plantings and terminate at the bluff edge with unique seating and viewing experiences.  Surfers access the beach and waves by rugged steps built into the bank.  Constructed tide pool habitats built into the bluff edge enhance the site’s ecological value and enrich visitors’ experience.
