The long-range development plan for the UCSF Medical Center Parnassus campus in downtown San Francisco addresses traffic calming and re-routing, sidewalk improvements, pedestrian crossings, site furnishings and landscape treatments including street trees and stormwater management. Careful coordination of campus additions and alterations as well as streetscape elements creates a safer and enlivened public realm. This new framework for the campus will enable standards and smaller projects to be developed and implemented over time with a vision for their cumulative effect.
